Human Mobilized Peripheral Blood Leuko Pak
Leuko paks are collected from mobilized peripheral blood donors via leukapheresis utilizing an apheresis machine in acid-citrate-dextrose formula A (ACDA). The donor’s white blood cells are selectively collected and the remaining blood is reinfused to the body.
The donor was injected Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF, FDA approved) alone or in combination with Mozobil to mobilize hematopoietic stem / progenitor cells from the bone marrow to the peripheral blood. Then the blood is collected via leukapheresis by an apheresis machine such as the COBE Optia®.
HumanCells also offers customized mobilized leuko paks with Plerixafor (Mozobil®) mobilization of stem cells from healthy donors. Mozobil has been particularly beneficial as an adjuvant stem cell mobilization agent on top of the G-CSF regimen. The Mozobil® regimen requires only 1 injection while the G-CSF needs 5 days.
