  • Synonym
    Activin A, INHBA
  • Source
Human Activin A,Tag Free, low endotoxin (ACA-H421b) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gly 311 - Ser 426 (Accession # AAH07858.1).
    Predicted N-terminus: Gly 311
  • Molecular Characterization
    Activin A(Gly 311 - Ser 426) AAH07858.1

    This protein carries no "tag".

The protein has a calculated MW of 13 kDa. the protein migrates as 14 kDa under reducing (R) condition, and 27 kDa under non-reducing (NR) condition (SDS-PAGE).

  • Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 EU per μg by the LAL method.
  • Purity

    >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

  • Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 0.056% TFA in 60% ACN. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

  • Reconstitution

Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions.

For best performance, we strongly recommend you to follow the reconstitution protocol provided in the CoA.

  • Storage

For long term storage, the product should be stored at lyophilized state at -20°C or lower.

    Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

No activity loss is observed after storage at:

    1. 4-8°C for 12 months in lyophilized state;
    2. -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
SDS-PAGE

Human Activin A,Tag Free, low endotoxin on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and no-reducing (NR) conditions. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 95%.

Bioactivity

Immobilized Human Activin A,Tag Free, low endotoxin at 10μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Human ACVR1B, Fc Tag

Immobilized Human Activin A,Tag Free, low endotoxin at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Human ACVR2A, Fc Tag with a linear range of 0.08-1.25 μg/mL (QC tested).

The bio-activity of Human Activin A,Tag Free, low endotoxin was determined by dose-dependent inhibition of the proliferation of MPC-11 cells. The EC50 for this effect is typically ≤ 9.5ng/ml (Routinely tested).
